MEET OUR AESTHETICIAN
Our Aesthetician, Nancy Dugan, works under the supervision of physicians certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Nancy was one of the first Medical Aestheticians in the country, with over 20 years of experience providing skin care and ancillary services to cosmetic and reconstructive patients. As an instructor of skin care techniques and makeup design, she has trained hundreds of aestheticians and makeup artists over her 30+ year career.
The majority of Nancy's training is the result of thousands of hours of private tutelage from Europe's best teachers in Austria, Germany, and France. In addition to her many contributions to trade publications, she was a contributing author to the medical textbook Principles and Practice of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery for her approach to post-surgical illusionary makeup techniques. Nancy is also featured in the Standard Textbook of Cosmetology for her approach to paramedical camouflage therapy and clinical cosmetology, which is used around the world for professional cosmetology training.

Cancellation Policy - If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we kindly request 48 hours notice. We appreciate your consideration. If we do not receive at least 24 hour notice, you may be charged for 50-100% of the service fee for the appointment.
Gratuities – The customary amount for a gratuity is between 15 and 20% of the service figure. Change and envelopes are available at checkout. We regret that we cannot add the amount to your check or credit card.
Punctuality -The Medi Spa is a medically based treatment center, so your initial visit will include some paperwork. Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes prior to our first scheduled appointment with us.

SKIN CARE SERVICES
The ultimate goal of healthy, beautiful skin is what we strive for at The Plastic Surgery Group. Complete aesthetic enhancement includes the surface and texture of the skin. Smooth healthy skin can be achieved through specific care programs customized to each patient's individual needs. Our comprehensive skin care services give our patients the best opportunity to maintain their rejuvenated and youthful appearance.
Pre surgical skin care helps to improve the healing process and minimize bleeding and bruising. Soft, hydrated, clean skin looks, heals and functions better after surgery. For dry, dehydrated, thickened or impure skin, a program of peels and facials will clear the skin and make it function more effectively. If the skin is normal, one or two pre surgical facials combined with a home program of care and the VitaMedica Clinical Support for Surgery nutritional supplements will put your skin in the ideal state for surgery. These nutritional supplements are also an excellent pre-treatment for injectables for patients that are prone to bruising.
Post surgical skin care continues the benefits of the pre-surgical program, keeping your skin in an environment conducive to healing. Post surgical facial treatments can usually be performed from the 10th day following most surgeries. Your doctor will advise you on the best timetable for treatment. The treatment will likely include some mild exfoliation and lymphatic drainage massage to hasten the removal of cell debris, swelling and bruising by stimulating the body's natural removal system. VitaMedica Healing Supplements Program nutritional supplements will aid healing and reduce swelling and bruising following surgery.

Specialized camouflage makeup products can help you conceal the vestiges of bruising and discoloration, get you out and about, and feeling better sooner. The goal of camouflage makeup is to neutralize the color of the affected area with a complementary (opposite) color to even out the skin tone. The camouflage products can be combined with your regular makeup routine for the most natural results. Camouflage products can usually be introduced after the 10th post surgical day in most cases. Your doctor will advise you on the best timetable for you.
Enhancement Makeup is a terrific way to embellish your surgical results. Enhancement makeup is most beneficial beginning from about the 3rd week post-surgically. You can make an appointment for a makeup application at that time, or any time you need an update.
