LISA M. JACOB, M.D.
Dr. Lisa M. Jacob is a New Jersey native who has recently returned home from Houston, Texas, where she completed her fellowship training at the world renowned M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. There she learned the latest and most advanced techniques in breast reconstruction and microvascular surgery. She brings her expertise in this area to The Plastic Surgery Group who shares her strong commitment to fighting breast cancer. She offers technically advanced, comprehensive breast reconstruction including muscle sparing free TRAM flaps, DIEP flaps, SIEA flaps, SGAP flaps, Latissimus Dorsi flaps, implant breast reconstruction, and partial breast reconstruction.
With her microvascular experience, Dr. Jacob is able to offer a new surgical technique in the treatment of lymphedema. This minimal invasive procedure called Lymphovenous Bypass attempts to reroute blocked lymphatics into the venous system and reduce the symptoms of Lymphedema. Dr. Jacob has significant experiences in complex reconstruction involving microsurgical procedures for Cancer and trauma patients. In addition, Dr. Jacob performs a full complement of cosmetic procedures.
Along with the other members of The Plastic Surgery Group, she is dedicated to serving those in need. She has been on multiple international missions to the Philippines, Bangladesh, and Mauritius providing reconstructive and cleft lip and palate surgery. She is eagerly awaiting her next international opportunity, although she is happy to be home serving her fellow New Jerseyans.
